Meadow Brook - Rochester, MI / USA / August 2007
It was a warm night at "The Meadow Brook" (which is a small outdoor venue in Rochester Hills, near Detroit). The opening band (The Hard Lessons) had just came off stage, and everyone was chatting, just getting in the mood to experience the Ig'. I met some very cool people (Whistler, Steve from Texas...). As we all awaited, the lights went off, and it became dark, then came Mike Watt, followed by Ron & Scott, then... IGGY!!!! The crowd roared, as the guys played "Loose", Iggy was jumping everywhere, throwing the mic stand threwout the entire show (and once it fell into the pit on a security guard's head... haha). I was right in the front of the pit (with my mouth open of course) as Iggy was going crazy up there. When Iggy jumped into the crowd during "I Wanna Be Your Dog" I Touched him, he fell beside me all 3 times ! When "Real Cool Time" came up, I knew what time it was ! I was ready to jump up there, and just as planned I was the first one up.
As I danced around, a mob of people came fleeing up on the stage. It was brilliant, when it went into "No Fun" me and my dad both got Iggy to let us sing with him. It was amazing. As Iggy talked while the stage was getting cleared, me and my dad got back to the front fo the pit. The moshers were getting too crazy, but it was hard to think about anything but Iggy, After the guys left, Iggy came back, along with Mike, and Ron, but Iggy was yelling because, guess what... NO SCOTT ! hahahah, Scott didn't expect they were going to come back, so Iggy yelled "I NEED DRUMS !! I'M WAITING and Scott came out, Iggy ripped into the final number of the night "Little Doll" and said "Now i'm gonna rock my way to the back of this place ! And he did for about 2 minutes. I was hoping he'd come out again, but the show was so good i enjoyed it for the rest of that night. It was Iggy's best show i've seen. THANK YOU IGGY ! YOU ROCK !
